North of the Border

Community Blood Council of New Jersey welcomes Diane Martin
of Ste Anne de Madawaska, New Brunswick, Canada.

While vacationing in the area, Diane found time to donate blood. Diane knows the true meaning of helping a neighbor with her unselfish act. We thank Diane very much for taking the time from her busy schedule. We look forward to seeing her again.

Congratulations Bill Ward on your 101 donations.

Bill started out as a whole blood donor when he was
chairperson for the Hamilton PBA-66, and that was 1972.

When asked how he got started donating platelets, Bill said he was in the center when the first platelet machine was brought in. That was 1985. When Bill found out what platelets were used for, he decided he wanted to become a platelet donor.

We at Community Blood Council thank you for your dedication to the community blood program.
