Beverly Silver
If you’ve been a regular donor at the Community Blood Council of New Jersey, you’ll instantly recognize the unique, up-beat voice of Beverly Silver. Newly responsible for our Donor Relations Department, she and her team have in 2004 out-produced previous years’ results during the summer months.

Beverly has been with The Community Blood Council of New Jersey since March of 1997, when she joined us as our receptionist and telemarketer for both whole blood and platelets. At that time, there was no separate telemarketing department and she was our sole telemarketer. In 1999, Beverly was named Supervisor of the Telemarketing Department.

A typical Beverly moment. Always full of enthusiasm, Bev encourages her team, challenging them to reach new heights.

Fast-forward to 2003, when Beverly enrolled in Harrison Career Institute. By March 2004 she received her A.B. degree, and has demonstrated proficiencies as a Phlebotomist, EKG and Cardiovascular Technician.

One of the perks of being EOTM is you get the most convenient parking spot. Bev parked herself on the day of her party, "...and I'm going to do the same thing every nice day we have for the next month," she says.

As the Supervisor of our Donor Relations Department, Beverly and her team now consist of five people. In addition to overseeing in-house recruitment for whole blood and platelet donations, she is also responsible for autologous and directed donations.
Before coming to us, Beverly was in the construction industry, serving as a shop steward in Local 50, headquartered in Princeton. A resident of Trenton, she says her favorite hobbies are arts and crafts, and music, but especially traveling, because she loves to meet new people.
