Rebecca Sitko
Becky is our payroll/finance specialist and reports directly to our CFO, Jim Lieblang. Becky, whose work is always exemplary, truly rose to the occasion over the past few months when first, a co-worker was out on sick leave, and then Jim sustained serious injuries in an accident. Becky jumped in, putting in extra time, making sure that the department ran smoothly.
Becky grew up in Hamilton and attends MCCC at night, where she is taking finance courses.
She’s just acquired her first home, which she is busily remodeling and redecorating. She is an accomplished seamstress and also enjoys antiquing. She says that she has “a passion for little old things that have character.”
Artistic and creative, Becky enjoys working with her hands to artfully transform found objects into something decorative, such as making a free-form topiary from and silk flowers and other materials. Once, she found a wrought iron piece of scrollwork that had been part of a mailbox. She added it to horizontal six-pane window that she had made into a mirror, creating a shelf. She then added some “found” chain for the hanger.
Another favorite hobby of Becky’s is camping. “I grew up camping and I love roughing it,” she admitted. She camps mostly in the northeast, often in the Pine Barrens. Most recently, she camped in upstate New York in the Thousand Islands region.
