Joy Baltimore
Joy Baltimore, our December employee of the month has worked for the CBC-NJ for the past four years. Joy initially began her employment as a phlebotomist on the mobile staff, and truly enjoyed the interaction of working with our donors on various blood drives. She was then promoted to Mobile Supervisor in January 2001. In November 2002, Joy transferred into the Quality Assurance Department under the leadership of Charmaine Weldon. In her current capacity Joy is responsible for the administration of the safety policies and quality assurance of the blood center. Additionally, Joy can be seen in the evening working in the laboratory as a component technician. Joy is someone who has literally “done it all” at the CBC-NJ, and works with each and every department on a daily basis.
Joy graduated from Montclair State University with a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry. She then attended Life University in Marietta, Georgia for graduate studies.
Her hobbies include bowling, arts and crafts, and shopping. A big football fan, she roots for the Pittsburgh Steelers and has had the opportunity to attend several football games and meet the players. Go Steelers! She also loves to travel throughout the U.S. Her favorite destination? The bright lights of Las Vegas!
Joy’s favorite quote: “We never know how far reaching something we may think, say, or do today will effect the lives of millions tomorrow. “-B.J. Palmer, D.C., PH.C...
