SHE’S BACK!
Lindsey Tippett and her Gang of "Lindsey’s Lifesavers" Are Out for Blood Once Again
Lindsey and her friends returned to the White Horse Volunteer Fire Company on Wednesday, January 4th for a blood drive open to the general public.
Our original goal was for 50 units of blood, but we collected 85. We even had one donor who saw the news clip on Channel 6 TV and drove 50 miles to donate!
Lindsey also helped us with a drive on Monday, January 9th at the Yardville National Bank at 2465 Kuser Road, Hamilton, NJ.
Lindsey has a rare form of Ewing's Sarcoma, and she knows what it's like to need blood. There have been times when this vivacious high school junior has had to wait for blood transfusions because blood was meted out only to the most critically ill patients and her numbers weren't "low enough."
As a result, she and a group of her close friends help to raise the public's awareness by working on blood drives with the Community Blood Council of New Jersey.
During her freshman year at Hamilton High West, she and her friends helped the Community Blood Council of New Jersey raise several thousand units of blood during the fall of 2003 through the spring of 2004. She then took a well-deserved break, just so she could be a normal high school kid. Now she's back, once again helping CBC-NJ with its efforts to collect blood.
We’re so proud of Lindsey and her friends!

JoyceAnn Tippett (L) and CBC-NJ account representative Janet Mastrosimone (R) thank Charles Nicastro of Washington Twp. in Gloucester County. Charles saw the segment that SallyAnn Mosey broadcast that evening on the News, hopped in his car and drove 50 miles just to donate. We’re grateful to Charles for his commitment.
