Fundraiser for Lindsey Tippett White Horse Volunteer Fire Company Joins CBC-NJ to Help a Great Teenager

Our fundraiser for Lindsey Tippett was held on June 19th jointly with the White Horse Vol. Fire Company at their firehouse in Hamilton Twp. The festivities actually began on Wednesday, June 14th, when Mayor Glen Gilmore presented Lindsey with a key to the city during a blood drive at the Hamilton Municipal Township offices, and celebrated her 17th birthday.

At the firehouse, in addition to the fundraiser, we held a blood drive, raising over thirty units during the evening. Michael Sharashian and Jonathan Ciliento donated, and Lindsey’s friend Jessica Pullen was a first-time donor.

In the next room at the fundraiser, people enjoyed the delicious pasta dinner, with food donated by many area restaurants. We’d like to thank the Girl Scouts of Troop 668 of Trenton, for their help in preparing the dinner and taking admissions at the door.

We gratefully acknowledge the following businesses and individuals, who contributed so generously to the event, making it a huge success.

Donations for dinner were graciously given by Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Philadelphia, Crest Paper Products, Domani Ristorante, Fame Restaurant, General’s Quarters, Italian People's Bakery, Mamma Flora’s, Mario & Frank's, Mastoris Diner, Nino's Pastry Shoppe, Olive Garden, Panera Bread, Trenton Farmer’s Market, Maxines 2, and Rosa’s Restaurant.

Raffle prizes were generously donated by the following businesses:

American Traditions, CBC-NJ Donor Room, Custom Design Lawn Chairs, Farnsworth House, Franny Pratico Jewelers,General's Quarters, Golden Pleasures, Hamilton Foot Care, Hamilton Jewelers, Jiffy Lube, KatManDu, Lang’s Ski ’n Scuba, New Jersey Devils, New Jersey Nets, Oh No So Ho, Inc., Shady Oak Butterfly Farm, Stickey Wicket, Trenton Photographers & Video, and Vent Vac.

Generous Contributions to Lindsey’s Lifesavers were made by: DeMartin Realty, Prior Nami Business Systems, Smith’s Yardville Supply, Yardville National Bank, and Ms. Iona Sehorn and Ms. Karen Cordas, both of Bordentown, New Jersey.

We would also like to thank Champion Sound Productions and KJ "Dino" for the evening’s music entertainment and karaoke.

The display area showed the four checks given to Lindsey by Yardville National Bank, Prior Nami Business Systems, DeMartin Realty and Smith’s Yardville Supply...

...and our raffle table showed off some of the many wonderful prizes that were also donated by area merchants.

Lindsey’s tutor, Judy Enderlein and her husband Frank enjoyed the pasta dinner.

Richard DeMartin, of DeMartin Realty also presented Lindsey with a check.

Yardville National Bank Assistant Vice President of Community Relations Maria Johnson presented CBC-NJ account representative Janet Mastrosimone with a check for Lindsey.

Plenty of people came out and showed their support for Lindsey.

One of the highlights of the evening was Lindsey’s releasing 17 Monarch butterflies. One of them alighted on her brother Matt, who then transferred the delicate creature to her finger.

People from all over came to show their support.
